Early Years

What is Early Years Education ?

Children start their formal education in the Early Years Foundation Stage. This begins the term following their third birthday.
As a registered provider we plan the children's learning so that the children are working towards the Early Learning Goals as outlined in the Foundation Stage Curriculum. The Early Learning Goals set out what most children are expected to achieve by the end of the Foundation Stage in the following six areas of learning and development:

  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development
  • Communication, Language and Literacy
  • Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy
  • Knowledge and Understanding of the World
  • Physical development
  • Creative development

As an education provider we have an equal opportunities policy and follow the Code of Practice on Special Educational Needs. All registered providers of early years education are inspected by Ofsted.
